متداول. در زمینه تأخیر زمانی یا پیشرفت قابل جایگزینی است — مثل delayed development. برای معلولیتهای ذهنی استفاده نمیشود.
Common. Interchangeable in contexts related to timing or progress delays — 'delayed development' works similarly. Not used for intellectual disabilities.
روزمره. وقتی منظور سرعت یا پیشرفت است، جایگزین مناسب است ولی برای توصیف افراد هرگز به کار نمیرود.
Everyday. Can replace 'retarded' when referring to speed or progress, but never for describing people.
اصطلاحی توهینآمیز که قبلاً برای توصیف افراد دارای ناتوانی ذهنی به کار میرفت و امروزه نامناسب و توهینآمیز محسوب میشود.
