رسمی. در زمینههای حقوقی جایگزین scam میشود اما جدیتر است؛ scam غیررسمیتر و کلیتر است.
Formal. Can replace 'scam' in legal or official contexts but sounds more serious; 'scam' is more informal and broad. E.g. 'credit card fraud' works, 'credit card scam' is more casual.
غیررسمی. وقتی هدف حقه بازی یا شوخی باشد به جای scam استفاده میشود ولی scam معمولا مالی است.
Informal. Can sometimes replace 'scam' when the deceit is a trick or joke, but 'scam' implies financial loss while 'hoax' may not. E.g. 'a scam to steal money' vs 'a hoax prank'.
