کلمه رایج روزمره. اغلب در معنی انحصاری قابلجایگزینی با sole است اما only از نظر دستوری انعطاف بیشتری دارد و sole رسمیتر و تأکیدیتر است.
Common everyday word. Interchangeable with 'sole' mostly in general senses of exclusivity but 'only' is more flexible grammatically while 'sole' is more formal and emphatic. E.g., 'sole owner' vs. 'only owner'.
رسمی. تأکید بر حذف دیگران دارد. در زمینههای رسمی جایگزین sole میشود مثل exclusive rights ولی کمتر در مکالمه کاربرد دارد.
Formal. Emphasizes exclusion of others. Can replace 'sole' in formal contexts like 'exclusive rights' but is less used in casual speech.

Technical/biological. Specific to the part of an animal's foot, less common in everyday speech.

Technical. A general term for this kind of fish including sole, less specific than sole.
