رسمی/ادبی. احساس غرق‌کننده شادی زیاد یا هیجان شادمانه. اغلب به حالت شدیدتر و تقریباً خلسه‌وارتر از 'bliss' اشاره دارد. 'She was in ecstasy after winning the lottery' کاربرد دارد، 'A moment of pure ecstasy' نیز کاربرد دارد.

Formal/Literary. An overwhelming feeling of great happiness or joyful excitement. Often implies a more intense, almost trance-like state than 'bliss'. 'She was in ecstasy after winning the lottery' works, 'A moment of pure ecstasy' works.
