روزمره. به معنای صحبتهای سبک، اغلب بیمعنی و گاهی سریع است. مشابه 'gassing' اما با بار معنایی کمتر منفی؛ 'chattering' میتواند صرفاً به معنای صحبت کردن پرحرارت بدون قصد خستهکنندگی باشد. 'آنها درباره آب و هوا gassing میکردند' و 'آنها درباره آب و هوا چتِرینگ میکردند' بسیار شبیه هم هستند.
Everyday. Implies light, often meaningless talk, sometimes rapidly. Similar to 'gassing' but less negative in connotation; 'chattering' can simply mean talking animatedly without intent to bore. 'They were gassing about the weather' and 'They were chattering about the weather' are quite similar.
