چیزی یا کسی را در جایی پنهان کردن که به راحتی دیده یا پیدا نشود
to put something or someone in a place where they cannot easily be seen or found
«او هدیه را زیر تخت پنهان کرد.»
“She hid the gift under the bed.”
«او پشت در جا گرفت تا او را غافلگیر کند.»
“He hid behind the door to surprise her.”
رسمی/خنثی. بیشتر در موقعیتهای رسمی جایگزین hide میشود، مخصوصاً در موارد قانونی مانند 'مخفی کردن مدارک'.
Formal/neutral. Can replace 'hide' mostly in formal contexts, especially for deliberate or secretive acts; e.g., 'conceal evidence' works better than 'hide evidence' in legal contexts.
روزمره. گاهی وقتی بر پوشاندن تاکید دارد میتواند جایگزین hide شود ولی همیشه جایگزین نیست.
Common/everyday. Can sometimes replace 'hide' when emphasizing physical blocking from view; e.g., 'cover the window' instead of 'hide the window'. Not always interchangeable.
